January 5th and 6th was held in San Diego (California) the second edition of the Geometry and Mesh Generation Workshop. GMGW aims to assess the current state of the art in geometry and mesh generation technology and software as applied to aircraft and spacecraft systems. We were present with a contribution to the Case 3 (OPAM-1 Parametric Remeshing) proposed by RBF Morph and ANSYS. We developed a sophisticated geometric parameterization methodology, based on RBF mesh morphing, of a complete aircraft. A mesh generated on the OPAM-1 model, provided by the organizing committee, was made parametric in the fuselage width, wing sweep, spanwise engine position and pod size. From the conference web site is possible to download the complete presentation.
